Chinatown, Singapore. In almost every country in Asia, there is always a place called Chinatown. And, Singapore is no exception to that. Being a country of diverse culture, the Chinese comprise the major group of locals here.

The best time to go in Chinatown Singapore is during the celebration of the Chinese New Year sometime in February. You get to taste different kinds of pika pika food. Bazaar and variety of booths are lined up on the streets for you to choose from.

Orchard Road is one of the most famous streets in the Lion City and shopaholics just love this area as popular global brands line up the street with their respective boutique and shops.

Little India, Singapore. Great deals can be found here at the Mustafa Centre in Singapore.

If you want to shop for some affordable goods, gadgets, or clothing in Singapore, Mustafa Centre is the place to go. It opens 24 hours and when I went here, there were also several Filipino sales ladies and attendants.

It was funny when I called one of the sales ladies 'Auntie' (as Singaporeans call older ladies Auntie, i think so) yet she replied I'm not your Auntie, don't call me Auntie. I just smiled at her, I think she was a Filipina.

There is also a money changer here. Since the place is in Little India, you will find yourself surrounded with several Indians here. If Indian cuisine is something that you crave for, try roaming around the area and surely you will find one.

Singapore. Transportation in Singapore has always been efficient. It is easy to go to different places as trains connect tourists and locals to different points in the lion city fast and easy.

Tourists can purchase a card where he can as well top-up once the balance is not anymore sufficient. If you are visiting for few days only, you may opt to have a temporary card to be purchased at the designated ticket machines in every station.

If you are trying to catch a flight, make sure you are in the airport at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure so you will have ample time to prepare for your flight. Once you alight from the Changi Station, there is also a sky train that you can take if you want to go to other airport terminals, say Terminals 1 or 2 and vice-versa and you do not have to pay for the sky train.

If you are only visiting friends in Singapore, it is important to be well connected online. Free wifi is available in the airport. You can ask the concierge somewhere in the middle of the hall for the username and password.

Food shops and shopping stalls are also seen in the corners if you want to have a last-minute shopping for your family and friends back in your home country. You can stay in the airport even for long hours while waiting for your flight.

I was going back to Manila, Philippines at this time and the flight took me 3 hours and 35 minutes approximately but I believe I was asleep the entire time. I was taking Jetstar and I need to depart from Terminal 1 of Changi Airport in Singapore.
